As of FY 2023-2024, the organization has made an impact in 1.83 million lives through seven active projects in 25 districts.
As one of the leading charity websites in India, Raise India Foundation offers transparent donation channels and impactful volunteer programs, making it easier for supporters to connect with ground-level causes.
1. Education: Shikshalaya
The flagship free learning center model, “Shikshalaya,” was created in 2019 and is located in Najafgarh, Delhi. To this date, it has supported nearly 750 students, most of whom have achieved positive employment outcomes including one who opened a cyber cafe. The students who graduate from the center have strong self- esteem and social bonds because of the yoga, computer classes, and even personality classes that they celebrate in.
For the foundation, the COVID-19 pandemic period meant a shift towards E-Shikshalaya. To assist students from lower socio-economic families, the foundation provided tablets to ensure education continuity ([Raise India Foundation][2]).
2. Menstrual Hygiene: Chuppi Todo – Sharam Nahi Samman
Motivated by PM Narendra Modi’s address on August 15, 2023, this initiative seeks to address the fact that only 36% of Indian women use pads. The foundation provides dignity kits comprising of pads, underwear, soap, detergent, and towels to women, particularly female construction workers, located throughout Delhi and the NCR. To mitigate the stigma, they hold workshops and have installed incinerators and pad vending machines in slum areas to encourage cleanliness and empowerment.
3. Healthcare: Project Little Heartbeats
This initiative works together with Fortis Hospital to provide aid to children, particularly under the age of 18, with congenital heart disease. The initiative especially focusses on young children who need lifesaving surgery. Families from underprivileged backgrounds face significant financial challenges with surgery costs ranging from ₹2 to 5 lakh. The initiative oversees the surgeries and provides pre/post-op care, transport, emotional care, and aims to support 100 children in the first year. The surgeries have a 98% survival rate, enabling countless children to lead healthy lives.
4. Livelihoods, Environment, and Disaster Response
Raise India Foundation has integrated vocational training with work opportunities, environmental initiatives, and projects in disaster response. For example, seasonal “heat relief” efforts respond to extreme summer heat by supplying and providing assistance. These efforts enhance resilience in at-risk communities.
5. Women's Development and Empowerment
Women are at the forefront of most initiatives such as sanitary hygiene as beneficiaries and skill awareness volunteers. Associate and partner engagements supported with corporate alliances take forward women’s education and economic participation initiatives.
