Help Kanishk-Heal His Little Heart

At just one year old, Kanishk is already facing a battle that no child should have to endure. A young boy from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Kanishk has been diagnosed with a moderate-sized muscular Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) along with a dilated left ventricle. His condition requires timely cardiac treatment to give him the chance to grow up healthy and experience the childhood he deserves.

Kanishk has been evaluated at Fortis Hospital, Manesar, Gurugram, where doctors have advised corrective cardiac treatment. The estimated cost of his procedure is ₹2,75,000, including the required hospitalisation. His medical assessment indicates that he may need approximately 7–8 days of hospital stay during treatment and recovery. For Kanishk's family, the cost of treatment is far beyond what they can afford. His father, Puneet Rahul, is the family's earning member and works as a helper, earning approximately ₹12,000 per month. The family's documented annual income is ₹1,44,000. Meeting a medical expense of ₹2.75 lakh on this income is an immense financial burden.

Over the past one year, Raise India Foundation has successfully helped 14 children receive life-saving heart surgeries through Mission Little Heartbeats. Today, Baby Shivaay is our 15th little warrior, waiting for the same chance to live.

The hospital has extended a concession towards Kanishk's treatment. After the concession, Raise India Foundation is taking responsibility for the remaining treatment cost of ₹2,60,000.
