Flood Relief
In 2023, the arrival of the monsoon season in Delhi brought about a crisis, prompting the evacuation of thousands of individuals from their residences. With the onset of torrential rains across northern India, authorities issued warnings of extensive flooding, necessitating swift action to safeguard lives and property.
The level of the Yamuna River, which flows through the Indian capital and is a tributary of the Ganges, The water level at Yamuna, which is still in spate in Delhi, has hit 207.32 meters — the highest in about 10 years. Many migrant workers, who live on the banks of the river, were camping on the roads alongside it as their makeshift homes were swallowed by the water. Others had to evacuate to try to reach higher ground.

In the face of this humanitarian crisis, our NGO sprang into action, initiating distribution and relief efforts to assist the displaced and vulnerable communities. Recognizing the urgent need for sustenance and basic necessities, we mobilized resources to provide essential supplies such as food, water, and shelter to those grappling with the aftermath of the floods. Through coordinated relief drives, we aimed to offer solace and support to individuals who had lost everything, striving to alleviate their immediate hardships and foster hope amidst adversity.
