Tapan

In response to the unprecedented heatwaves of 2024, Raise India Foundation launched Project Tapan to support those most affected by soaring temperatures. This summer alone, the extreme heat in India has led to over 40,000 suspected cases of heatstroke and at least 110 confirmed deaths between March 1 and June 18. The most vulnerable sections of society, including daily wage earners and outdoor workers, have been the hardest hit. Project Tapan aims to mitigate the impact of extreme heat by distributing essential items to those working in scorching conditions. Our efforts include providing slippers, water, and other necessary supplies to help individuals cope with the oppressive heat. By addressing immediate needs, we strive to protect lives and ensure the well-being of those who endure harsh working conditions. Through Project Tapan, Raise India Foundation reaffirms its commitment to supporting communities in crisis and promoting health and safety during extreme weather events.
