Raise India Foundation is proud to introduce Project Little Heartbeats, a life-saving initiative launched in collaboration with Fortis Hospital, one of India’s most trusted names in healthcare. This project is born out of urgency, compassion, and an unwavering belief that no child should lose their life because they cannot afford heart surgery.

Every year in India, nearly 200,000 children are born with congenital heart disease (CHD) — a structural defect in the heart that is present from birth. Among these, approximately 20 percent require urgent surgical intervention within the first few months or years of life. Many of these children are born with a hole in the heart, a condition that severely impacts their ability to breathe, grow, and lead a healthy childhood. For families living in poverty or struggling to access basic healthcare, this diagnosis is devastating.

Project Little Heartbeats is here to change that reality.

We are committed to supporting children from infancy up to 18 years of age who are diagnosed with life-threatening heart conditions and require immediate surgery. Our focus will be on emergency cases — the most critical, time-sensitive cases where medical intervention cannot wait. These are moments when a child’s life hangs in the balance, and your support can tip the scale toward survival and healing.
