There are many occasions during the year which deserve to be celebrated. Birthday, Wedding anniversary, festivals, and so many other reasons we have where we celebrate. We choose to celebrate these days with our loved and special ones. You can double your joys by adding compassion on these special days by celebrating with our Shikshalaya students. You can also join our team during the celebration.
Often the persons celebrating a birthday or anniversary don’t know what they would like to receive. You can request your guests to make a donation to the Raise India Foundation instead of bringing a precious gift on a special occasion. This is the perfect solution for individuals who have everything and simply want to do a good deed. You spend a wonderful time with family and friends on that day and at the same time help less fortunate people. No act of kindness is too small. To contribute to the campaign, all you need to do is send us a picture of your family, and write a few lines on what the occasion is and how you want to celebrate it and send us on care@raiseindiafoundation.org. We will display all the pictures of your event celebration with your name and picture (with your permission) on our facebook page.
We are very excited about this ambitious campaign. It is a point of pride for us when people like you come together to make a real difference in the world.
Giving food to the needy is one of the greatest charity which is observed all over the world. Today, starvation is one of the key worries of the world. Our ancestors always advised giving food to the poor or beggars, instead of giving MONEY. Raise India Foundation helps you in conducting food distribution drives on the death anniversary of your near and dear ones.
Raise India Foundation conducts this campaign for people in need, by providing food to patients and their families near AIIMS & Safdarjung Hospital situated in Delhi. As we know many cities and villages do not have proper medical facilities so people from such places come to big cities to fulfill their medical needs. Going back and forth from their hometown or village to the hospital becomes quite expensive for them. In order to save money some of them decide to stay and wait outside the hospital, or skip meals. Such methods are not healthy for them, especially during the current situation of the pandemic. We have been helping these people from time to time as much as possible with our available resources.
You can celebrate and honor someone special by making a gift to Raise India Foundation in their name. Donate to Raise India Foundation in honor of someone special, and you’ll also make a big difference for families in need. Your special gift today will put food on the table for families facing hunger, and your loved one will receive an e-card to commemorate the difference you’re making together.
You need to provide us the details like the name and address of who the card should be sent to, who the gift is in honor of, and who made the gift. You can send all these details on care@raiseindiafoundation.org.
The Pitru Paksha starts after the Full Moon day (Purnima), also called Poonam or Pournami (in Tamil) in Bhadrapada. Hindus pay tribute to their deceased ancestors during a fortnight referred to as Pitru Paksha in the Chaturmas period. And it begins after the Full Moon day (Purnima Tithi) in the Ashwin month, Krishna Paksha (as per Purnimant calendar) and Bhadrapada (according to the Amavasyant calendar). Interestingly, only the names of the months differ, but the date remains the same. It is roughly a 15-day period of great significance. Rituals like Tarpan/Tarpanam and Shradh are carried out to pay respects to dead relatives/ ancestors.
Raise India Foundation distributes food and fruits to patients and their families near AIIMS/ Safdarjung hospital situated in Delhi during Shradh. You can also join our team during food distribution drive.

In India, the effect has been particularly severe with complete lockdowns ensuring that the children had no recourse to any of their support systems including schools, teachers, tuitions or group studies. In such a scenario, online education has been propagated as the solution both by private schools as well as the governments (Centre and state). The system is working beautifully for children with well-resourced parents especially in urban areas, but the underprivileged children in rural areas where the bulk of our student population resides, have been left woefully behind. While some children resorted to their laptops and desktops to attend online classes offered by their schools, many Indian households could not even afford a smartphone to help their children. All this means that students from the poorest families, without Internet access, are more likely to be denied education — widening already deep educational inequalities. Parents working as laborers take their kids with them to work to enhance their income, depriving children of their childhood.
Let us examine the prerequisites for online education for a child. The first and foremost requirement is access to the internet. Second, there is a need for an appropriate device to render the content. Third, the content itself should be of such a quality that the child should be able to grasp it remotely. Fourth, the resources to gain access to a host of supplementary learning material available online. Lastly, the ability of parents to support their child in online learning through technical as well as pedagogical support. As you can see, each of the necessary conditions above is an exclusion criterion as far as underprivileged children are concerned.
In a bid to make the online classes accessible to underprivileged, especially those who do not have access to smartphones, laptops and internet facilities, Raise India Foundation has decided to distribute tablets and make all the necessary arrangements for all the students of their Shikshalaya centre under the project name ‘E-SHIKSHALAY’. There are 100 children who are currently enrolled with our education centre. Most of them are not taking any online classes due to lack of resources. So through this project, we look forward to the fact that every child must attain his/her education, despite the pandemic.
In this project we are aiming first our shikshalaya centre children, after that we will be supporting government school children. We will be covering rural parts of Delhi through this project.
"Menstruation is not a problem, poor menstrual hygiene is”
In the present time (of pandemic), it is difficult for many to even get two square meals a day; buying sanitary pads and maintaining menstrual hygiene has become an unthinkable luxury. The idea behind choosing this theme is to highlight how the challenges faced by women during menstruation have worsened due to the ongoing pandemic. “Periods don’t stop for pandemic - it’s every girl’s right to manage her period safely and with dignity”.
Raise India Foundation is running the campaign “Chuppi Todo – Sharm nahi Samman” since February 2021, around all the industrial construction sites in Delhi and NCR. In a bid to improve menstrual hygiene among female construction workers we decided to help them by offering Dignity Kits. These Dignity kits contain hygiene and sanitary items, as well as other items explicitly tailored towards the local needs of women and girls of reproductive age in particular communities. Each Dignity Kit contains 15 sanitary pads, pair of undergarments, a detergent soap, a bathing soap and a Towel.
Raise your hand for women’s dignity and a conversation on a menstruation because menstruation it’s about women dignity and health. Let us strive to improve the lives of these women by creating a safe and secure environment for them. Come and join us in our campaign, together we can make the difference for them
Every woman deserves it…no matter where she is..
I feel proud and honored to share my ideas and ethics with a team like this. You all are enthusiastic, energetic and have the positive attitude. I thank everyone of you for the constant hard work and dedication. With the help of your team we are able to cherish some moment of people not known us.
I am privileged to be part of Raise India Foundation and really happy to see outstanding work done by them. It is a best way to stay connected with the noble cause and have the feeling of doing something for society. And the best part is, you don't need huge money to contribute for such noble causes, even a small amount can make a massive difference. I am very happy to be part of initiatives like girl education, support for Covid 19, distribution of sanitization kit to women, khana khila punya kamao, and many more.
As someone who has been a donor and through my own NGO, collaborator of the Raise India Foundation, I must commend their efforts for working for the downtrodden sections of our society. Anyone is free to see their activities on the ground and the genuine difference they are making to lives of our fellow citizens, irrespective of caste, creed, gender or linguistic affiliation. I am not only immensely satisfied but would urge one and all with the means to support them in their wonderful initiatives. Jai Hind!
I am so happy to see my donation going for a useful purpose, thanks to Raise India Foundation, who makes this happen. I truly love their campaigns such as Khana Khilao Punya Kamao, Kambal Udhao Zindagi Bachao. I even participated in their activities as well. I love to take my son along with me and show the generosity of work they are doing. Team Raise India Foundation, you are all doing amazing work. Thank you for providing the opportunity to contribute to your noble work. God bless you all and gives you continued strength to service humanity.
